LIFE TEEN Mission Statement
St. John Neumann LIFE TEEN’s mission is to lead high school teens to God, through a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. This is accomplished through a comprehensive youth ministry program, centered on the Eucharist, and available to all teens in grades 9-12.
What is a LIFE TEEN Mass?
From September through May, St. John Neumann Church offers a 6 p.m. Sunday liturgy, which is open to all. A reserved seating section is available for high school teens and Core members, although teens are free to sit with their families instead. Many of the liturgical ministries are performed by teens. The homily is often geared towards teenagers and their life challenges. Quality contemporary Christian music is provided by the LIFE TEEN Band.
What is a LIFE Night?
Following LIFE TEEN Mass on most Sundays, high school teens have the opportunity to learn about the Church and their faith in challenging ways. As a faith community, the teens grow in understanding of what it means to be young and Catholic in the new millennium. The teens are affirmed, educated, and challenged to live the Gospel through the work of a trained Youth Minister and Core Team.
